Waiver & Realease of Liability

Health & Fitness Declaration

By confirming this agreement, I declare that:

• I am 18 years of age or older.

• I am in good physical health and do not have any condition that may be aggravated by sauna use, including but not limited to:

• Heart conditions

• Circulatory or respiratory disorders

• Low or high blood pressure

• Seizures, fainting, infections, or inflammation

• I am not pregnant, or if I am, I have been medically cleared to use a sauna.

• I am not under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or impairing medications.

• I accept full responsibility for monitoring my own health and wellbeing during the session.

 

Floating Sauna Use & Safety Acknowledgement

I understand and accept that:

• The sauna is on a floating pontoon on the Swan River.

• Risks include: slips, falls, movement of the pontoon, proximity to water, and potential drowning.

• I will exercise caution at all times and exit immediately if I feel unwell or dizzy.

 

Conditions of Entry

I agree to:

• Sit on a towel inside the sauna.

• Stay hydrated and bring my own water.

• Not wear oils, perfumes, or lotions that could affect others or damage surfaces.

• Treat staff, guests, and the sauna respectfully.

• Understand that unsafe, rude, or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate removal without refund.

 

Session Duration & Recommendations

• Sessions last up to 55 minutes.

• First-time users should limit time inside to 10-15 minutes per round.

• I may end my session at any time for any reason.

 

Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

I acknowledge and voluntarily accept that:

• Sauna use carries inherent risks including heat stress, fainting, injury, or death.

• I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, illness, or loss sustained during or after my session.

• I release and discharge Drift Saunas Pty Ltd, its staff and affiliates, from all liability, including negligence.

• I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Drift Saunas Pty Ltd from any claims resulting from my own actions.

 

Consent to First Aid and Photography

I consent to basic first aid if required.

• I understand emergency services may be called at my expense if necessary.

• Unless I opt out in writing, I consent to photos or videos taken during my session being used for marketing purposes.

 

Governing Law & Duration

• This waiver is governed by the laws of Western Australia.

• It remains in effect for all future sessions unless withdrawn in writing.

 

​I acknowledge and agree to the Drift Saunas Waiver and Release of Liability. I confirm I am 18 years or older and understand the risks associated with sauna use, including potential heat stress, dehydration, or complications from pre-existing medical conditions. I agree to participate at my own risk and release Drift Saunas of all liability.
